"I write for a living.
In other words, writing is my life.
I write to compose myself so I can see between the lines.
I write to develop consistency in changing times.
I write to unite myself and others, because each other is all we have."

Long Story Shorter
With 16 years in the wellness field and over a decade of professional content writing, I leverage the power of language to drive transformation. I love words, and the way they add definition to our worlds. How conversations—written, spoken, and embodied—have the chemical power to change our minds. How connection heals, when we let it.
My B.A. in Literature and Writing comes from the University of California San Diego, where I helped launch an award-winning integrative student wellness center. In addition to producing website and blog content, leading programs, developing the marketing campaign, and managing intern staff, I served as Editor-in-Chief for LiveWell Magazine.
In 2009 I launched The Soular Power System, an event production and media campaign dedicated to "In-vironmental Awareness" and "Self-Sustainability." I later expanded to freelance consulting, copywriting, and content management for socially-conscious start-ups and non-profits. From e-books and blogs to video scripts and graphics, I used my intuitive understanding of people and projects to support visions from the inside out. Over the next decade I helped organizations such as Game Changer, Mindful Ways Eco-Village San Jose, Gen-Do Mind-Body Institute, Sweet Spot Farm, and Shuniya Yoga impact thousands of people.
After the birth of a third child, I returned to my roots in therapeutic journaling and dedicated any remaining free time to personal writing projects. I self-published "Motherhood Express: 40 Questions for Newborn Moms," along with "Willing to Work Forward: A Selection of Poetry and Prose." Around the same time, I discovered the handpan drum. Suddenly the mountain of spoken word lyrics I had amassed over the years sprang into a new rhythmic format with "Ethereal Rising."
Ultimately, these many adventures and projects have led me to one focus: the co-creation of a space where people can live, work, learn, heal, and grow in connection and reciprocity with nature. As a demonstration of such, Little Shepherds Nature Lab has taken root on a 24-acre ranch in Ramona, California. We bring an embodied, experiential, and ecological approach to education for kids ages 3-18, while housing and supporting mothers.
The stress of modern society is immense and often overwhelming. But I deeply believe that, working together, we can make our peace.
